Holiday Clubs

During the school holidays, we offer clubs for children. All our clubs have an educational base but are delivered in a fun and engaging way.

We are now taking bookings for our next holiday clubs which will take place during February Half Term. All of the clubs below will have different content and can be attended as a stand-alone course, meaning children can attend 1 club or all clubs.

This club introduces young children to coding through a robotic car called Indi. Indi has a colour sensor and is programmed using coloured mats. Children will explore Indi through play, working out how to control him and then solving challenges with their new-found knowledge.

Teamwork, exploration, play and fun are at the centre or this club.

Both of these clubs will be based on Lego Spike Essentials which takes Lego to a whole new level. In each session, children will follow instructions on how to build a model which will include elements such as cells, motors, light sensors etc. Once their model is built, they will then use the Lego Spike App to program their model using coding. This is followed by time to extend their thinking to add to the complexity of their initial model or alter the coding to improve the movement of their model.

Challenges set in the 9-12 club will be more complex in build and coding than in the 7-10 club. Therefore, age is just a guide and experience of building with Lego and coding is the best way to decide which course is more appropriate for your child.
