Safeguarding

At Achievio, ensuring the safety and well-being of every child is our utmost priority. We firmly believe in creating an environment where every child can learn and thrive, shielded from harm and negative influences. Our staff are vigilant to any signs of distress among our pupils and fully prepared to implement our comprehensive child protection procedures.

The heart of our mission at Achievio is the welfare and safety of our student and we are dedicated to safeguarding their physical and emotional health. Occasionally, this means coordinating with external organisations, such as police or medical professionals, to best serve our students' needs. We aim to work alongside parents or guardians whenever possible. However, there are times when Achievio must act independently to ensure a child's safety and well-being.

Achievio works with the Wiltshire Safeguarding Vulnerable People Partnership (SVVP) to ensure our practices and processes are in line with new legislation and initiatives around the safeguarding of young people.

Our staff are extensively trained to identify and respond to potential risks to a child's well-being, including physical harm, emotional trauma, or neglect. They are skilled in managing sensitive information shared by young people and receive ongoing training in child protection matters.

Caroline Thomas (Director) has a specific responsibility for safeguarding and has been trained to become the Designated Lead for Safeguarding.

We conduct rigorous checks on all individuals working at Achievio, including Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) screenings, to ensure they are qualified to work with children and young people.

Achievio ensures all its IT systems are secure, with continuous monitoring of user activities.. We regularly review and update our child protection policy, demonstrating our commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment. This policy is available on our policies page.
